I’ve been a musician my entire life. From the time I had a consistent recollection of where I was and what I was doing, there were always rehearsals, performances, singing, trombone, youth orchestras, and band. Music was always there. Throughout elementary, middle, and high school in San Diego and through my Master’s in Music at UCLA, it was the single most consistent force in my life.
I’ve taught at almost every level in academia, and have had the luck to have performed with and for some largest names in the music industry on both the classical and popular side. I’ve recorded on records and played with major orchestras. My background in music is as eclectic as it has been fun, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
It wasn’t until I moved to China where I started taking on the music business with my business partner and best friend, Matthew Busch, that I realized how broken the system is for developing artists. We wanted to change that, and Unchained Music was born.
