Tell me something that’s true, that almost nobody agrees with you?
I strongly believe that the way our society is organized today is not ideal, in terms of governance. It's crazy to pay huge taxes so that other people decide what they will do with our money, how they will lead society and, if they make mistakes, the rest of society pays the consequences, not the politicians themselves.
I believe our great-grandchildren will look at the way we do governance of society today and think, "Obviously this wouldn't work, what were you thinking?"
How did you get interested in Web3 and what you're currently working on?
I have been studying crypto for a few years now and, like some people, I was apprehensive when I first heard about Bitcoin. Once I really understood the technology and how revolutionary it was, my mind exploded. Since then, over the last few years I have plunged into this world.
I'm currently building Inevitable Media, a company with a mission to help bring billions of people to Web 3 and the Metaverse. We do this through tools and courses.
What is your definition of web3? Why should we care about it?
I don't see Web 3 as a replacement for Web 2. I see Web 3 as an extension of what we have today. It is Web 2+ new protocols and technologies.
Web 3 is, then, a new technological paradigm, the result of the convergence between several other technologies, such as blockchain, crypto, NFTs and others.
We should pay attention to it because it brings with it several technologies that are immensely superior to the previous ones. Bitcoin is simply a superior form of money. Blockchain is simply a superior way of recording transactions. Every time we have a new technology that is far superior to what already exists, we are facing a special moment. It was like that with the internet, it was like that with smartphones.
The internet has created a whole new economy. Smartphones too. Web3 will do that too, but even bigger, more intensely and even more globally.

What hard and soft skills have been most helpful to help you succeed in Web3?
In my personal context, having worked in several areas, such as marketing, growth, product and content, has helped a lot to connect several points in what we are building. This has helped a lot so far, but it will definitely be an increasing challenge to develop fully integrated hard skills for Web 3, as it will profoundly change how we create products, how we grow, how we do marketing, and so on.
Regarding soft skills, many of them are important but I would highlight emotional intelligence as one of the main ones. Crypto is the ultimate FOMO industry. There's a lot going on at all times and chances are you'll feel overwhelmed and make bad decisions because of it. So knowing which way you are going and knowing how to separate the signals from the noises is essential.
What would you say is the best thing about your job? The most challenging?
There are many good things, but I would say 2 main ones:
1) To be in front of a new world being built before our eyes. It's like seeing the beginning of the internet. Practically everything we use today and most of the most relevant companies today didn't even exist 20-30 years ago. We are in that era again. Everything is being built by innovators around the world.
2) Being involved in this world has given me the chance to meet brilliant people, talk to them and participate in what they are building.
The most challenging side, I would say, is avoiding the constant FOMO that can make you make bad decisions or want to change your focus all the time.

What part should Founders play in web3?
Right now is one of the best times to build something new. So it's a great time to get your head down and work hard. It's also a great time to build relationships with other builders. These relationships could turn into something incredible over the next decade. Whenever we have new technological paradigms, one of the advantages of being early is being able to have easier ways to make great connections. People are just more open since there aren’t many other people building things. It won't last forever and it's a great idea to enjoy it.
Tell us the greatest working day of your life. You're at home in the evening, thinking of what you accomplished. What made you so happy that day?
I don't know if I have such a clear answer to this, but I would say that I can feel that way when our tools and courses are being used by hundreds of millions of people and companies around the world and that they are creating a lot of impact on society and the lives of millions of other people and companies from what we create.
What is your favorite Web3 project? Among the people you've worked, or interacted with in Web3, who do you admire most and why?
I would say ENS, Dune Analytics, Polygon and OpenSea.
ENS - Transforming the Web3 world with a much more user-friendly interface.
Dune Analytics - Brings the possibility of analyzing blockchain data and smart contracts in a very simplified way.
Polygon - Scalability solutions to reach billions of users.
OpenSea - Greatly responsible for bringing NFTs into the mainstream, lowering entry barriers for buyers and creators.
Mirror - Building a native Web3 platform for creators. I’m a big fan of what they are building.
I know this is going to sound like bullshit for some people, but it's really been a pleasure to share this journey with my co-founder, Kaynã, one of the smartest people I know and who has accepted the challenge to build Inevitable.
What is your vision for your niche? What do you expect to come in the next few years? What development in the field do you find to be the most exciting?
Web 3 is still an open field and we are not sure of anything. It's like wanting to predict the future of the internet in 1995. Is it possible? Yes, but very difficult.
What I can see is that Web 3 and the Metaverse will become less and less buzzwords and more and more ubiquitous in our lives.
The internet itself was once a place where people “went”. They would “surf the web”. Today, it is omnipresent. I believe we still have a few good years ahead of us before we have mass adoption of web3, but it will come fast.
At Inevitable, we will continue to create tools for creators and educate people and companies about this new world. This is a space that lacks quality education. We see a lot of people on Instagram or TikTok with speeches like "this NFT will make you rich", "you should buy this token". This is not our mission. We want to educate people about the technologies so they can make good decisions and really understand why these technologies are so revolutionary.
I believe that all companies now focused on educating users and lowering entry barriers so that millions of people enter this universe are the ones that attract me the most.
Any tips for beginners who aspire to work in this domain, but feel completely overwhelmed to even start competing?
The first step is knowing what NOT to do. Beware of people promising you easy money or that you will get rich quick. This is still a very dangerous world with a lot of scams. Look for people and projects that have some form of accountability. Enter communities. Volunteer to do something or just start talking to as many people as you can. Soon, you will have the courage to start building your own things.
