Backend Developer

Unchained Music is currently seeking a back-end developer to become part of our international team of developers in our quickly-growing startup. Given the state of regulatory uncertainty in developing crypto platforms, the ideal candidate should be flexible and adaptive in anticipation of legal changes that require change in business strategy and design. Our ideal candidate is someone who is proficient in JavaScript, excels in test driven development, can develop from a security perspective, is experienced in maintaining databases, integrating with cloud services, has well documented and organized code, and can collaborate well with others.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Can organize user data to be stored efficiently, and moderate data put into data base to prevent invalid data.
• Help to develop and manage and automated financial accounting system for customers.
• Integrate with APIs of partnering companies.
• Maintain safe coding practices to limit creating unnecessary vulnerabilities in the web app.
• Participate in weekly code reviews alongside other developers on the team consisting of structured reports of progress made.
• Follow best practices of testing updates to application and ensuring functionality before pushing updates.
• Meet with team to discuss goals of upcoming design sprints, evaluate work necessary to meet these goals, and evaluate the expected time necessary to meet certain development goals.
• Aid in maintenance and upkeep of GitHub repository.
• Maintain working routine to ensure projected development are met without unnecessary setbacks.

Qualifications:

• 4-year degree from an accredited university in computer science.
• Command of html and css design principals.
• 2-4 years experience in Server side development.
• 2-3 portfolio projects to display ability to create responsive applications.
• Security qualifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable steps.
• Committed to continuing education on best development practices and helping to oversee other team members with less experience.
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing development goals

Compensation & Benefits:

YOU get to pick your schedule. We ask that team members participate in 1 team call per week and maintain some core hours within the normal business day to participate in needed consultation with other team members. We trust you to get the rest of your work done from whatever location and at whatever time is best for you.

An applicant should have experience:

Building and securing React applications working in a nodejs environment.

Creating and securing user login systems.

Securing Apis.

Working with Browser side Messaging systems involving Web Sockets.

Web 3 development experience would be a plus.

Any of the Below certificates would be helpful for an applicant

Security certifications:

3.Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
